Guidelines For Abstract Submission

Margins – 2.5 cm from all four sides

The text must be clear and in simple but clear language. Abstracts submitted for
presentation will be published exactly as received and should be checked for spelling
and grammar prior to submission.

Number of words – 400 maximum

Font - Style and size – Times New Roman, size 12; single spacing; and use
sentence case
Paragraphs - There should be double spacing between paragraphs.
Footnotes - Will NOT be included. References are not generally required but if you
really need to include one, put this information in the main text in

Below the abstract please provide a maximum of five key words

The corresponding authors – full name, address, email address, telephone number,
fax number are required.

Abstracts must contain sufficient information to allow a delegate to establish what
may be gained by attendance at the presentation

The body of the abstract should be structured and arranged as follows:

  • Title - (maximum 15 words)
  • Introduction (overview)
  • Objectives / Aims of the Study
  • Methods (statement of how it was conducted)
  • Results or preliminary results/progress (summary of processes, impacts, outcomes)
  • Conclusions (and recommendations)
  • Key message (one sentence )

Proof of ethical clearance for your research may be requested.
