Mr. Mohamed fakhry
Mr. Mohamed Fakhry has been Consul General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Melbourne since 1 September 2016. He has held numerous positions in the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo and was promoted to the rank of Ambassador in April 2016. He was Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Maghreb Affairs from September 2014 – August 2016. He has served in the following Egyptian missions abroad: the Permanent Mission to the United Nations Office in Geneva/Switzerland, the Embassies in Ottawa/Canada, Rabat/Morocco and Bonn/Germany, as well as the Consulate General in New York/USA. He has the following degrees: Master of Arts in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, Master of Arts in Political Science from The American University in Cairo, and Bachelor of Arts (Major in Political Science and Minor in Business Administration) from East Carolina University.
